Question 7

Is service staff included in the price?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Meine Eis Ape comes with service staff who portion the ice cream on site and hand it out to your guests. Delivery, set-up, service and take-down are covered – you do not pay a separate staff charge.

Question 8

How many scoops should I plan per guest?

Accepted Answer

As a rule of thumb, allow 2 scoops per guest; a little more in hot weather, at long events or with children. The chosen quantity is stated as a fixed price in your quote – at very small events the minimum spend can automatically mean more ice cream is included than you originally chose. If you want to offer ‘open end’, just tell Meine Eis Ape: extra consumption is then counted on the day and settled with you directly.

Question 9

What happens to leftover ice cream?

Accepted Answer

The quantity included in the quote is yours: if you eat less, you can have the rest packed up by Meine Eis Ape, otherwise Meine Eis Ape takes it back. In every case the total price stays the agreed fixed price – it does not fall if less is eaten.

Question 10

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Accepted Answer

No deposit needed. When you book, you only pay the service fee of eisbuchen.de online – it is already included in the total price. You settle the remaining amount directly with Meine Eis Ape after the event.

Question 11

Does Meine Eis Ape offer vegan or lactose-free flavours?

Accepted Answer

Vegan or lactose-free flavours are available from Meine Eis Ape on request. Just state your wishes in the request and we will sort it out before the event.

Question 12

Does the ice cream van need power at the event location?

Accepted Answer

Meine Eis Ape works entirely self-sufficiently – with its own battery or gas drive. No power connection is needed; the van is ideal for outdoor events without infrastructure.

Question 13

How much space does the ice cream van from Meine Eis Ape need?

Accepted Answer

The van is 300 cm long and 200 cm wide. Please ensure clear access and firm ground.

Question 14

What happens in bad weather or rain?

Accepted Answer

The total price still applies even if fewer guests come because of the weather – the included quantity is still yours, and you can have uneaten ice cream packed up by Meine Eis Ape. In the event of genuine severe weather, eisbuchen.de can on request depart from the normal cancellation process as a goodwill gesture; it is best to discuss this early in the chat with Meine Eis Ape and us.

Question 15

Can I cancel or reschedule a confirmed booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can cancel with the ‘Cancel booking’ button in the chat: up to 14 days before the event you get your service fee and any deposit back in full, 7–13 days before 50 %, less than 7 days before there is no refund. You make a request to change the date or number of guests in the chat – Meine Eis Ape confirms it or, for larger changes, creates a new quote with a new total price.

Question 16

What happens if the vendor cancels at short notice?

Accepted Answer

If Meine Eis Ape cancels a confirmed booking, you always get your service fee and any deposit back in full, and you are informed straight away via the platform chat. If the vendor does not show up at the event at all, report it via your review link or in the chat – eisbuchen.de investigates this personally, and the vendor is restricted on the platform.

Question 17
