Yes. Eiszeitmobil comes with service staff who portion the ice cream on site and hand it out to your guests. Delivery, set-up, service and take-down are covered – you do not pay a separate staff charge.

As a rule of thumb, allow 2 scoops per guest; a little more in hot weather, at long events or with children. The chosen quantity is stated as a fixed price in your quote – at very small events the minimum spend can automatically mean more ice cream is included than you originally chose. If you want to offer ‘open end’, just tell Eiszeitmobil: extra consumption is then counted on the day and settled with you directly.

The quantity included in the quote is yours: if you eat less, you can have the rest packed up by Eiszeitmobil, otherwise Eiszeitmobil takes it back. In every case the total price stays the agreed fixed price – it does not fall if less is eaten.

Yes, Eiszeitmobil asks for a deposit of 30 % of the amount that goes to Eiszeitmobil when you book – the service fee does not count towards this. You pay it online with the service fee on eisbuchen.de – it is part of the total price and not an extra. It is held frozen in Eiszeitmobil’s Stripe account, released only after the event and then deducted from the final invoice.

Vegan or lactose-free flavours are available from Eiszeitmobil on request. Just state your wishes in the request and we will sort it out before the event.

Eiszeitmobil works entirely self-sufficiently – with its own battery or gas drive. No power connection is needed; the van is ideal for outdoor events without infrastructure.

The van is 272 cm long and 71 cm wide. Please ensure clear access and firm ground.

The total price still applies even if fewer guests come because of the weather – the included quantity is still yours, and you can have uneaten ice cream packed up by Eiszeitmobil. In the event of genuine severe weather, eisbuchen.de can on request depart from the normal cancellation process as a goodwill gesture; it is best to discuss this early in the chat with Eiszeitmobil and us.

Yes. You can cancel with the ‘Cancel booking’ button in the chat: up to 14 days before the event you get your service fee and any deposit back in full, 7–13 days before 50 %, less than 7 days before there is no refund. You make a request to change the date or number of guests in the chat – Eiszeitmobil confirms it or, for larger changes, creates a new quote with a new total price.

If Eiszeitmobil cancels a confirmed booking, you always get your service fee and any deposit back in full, and you are informed straight away via the platform chat. If the vendor does not show up at the event at all, report it via your review link or in the chat – eisbuchen.de investigates this personally, and the vendor is restricted on the platform.

In peak season (May to September) we recommend 4–8 weeks’ notice. Short-notice requests are possible – just use the planner on eisbuchen.de and you will get a suitable quote straight away.
